Ever think to blame your mirror for a lousy night’s sleep? According to feng shui principles, it could be the culprit. Within the belief system of feng shui, mirrors are thought to increase the flow of energy in a room. As a result, some say it could affect your quality of sleep. If you’re waking up exhausted every morning, you may want to try moving it to another room to see if you sleep better.
If you’re still sleeping in a twin-sized bed, it may be time for an upgrade. In the practice of feng shui, a small bed is too confining to provide you with a restful night’s sleep. On the other hand, a full or queen-sized bed will let you stretch out and relax without feeling cramped. The added height is also believed to cultivate a better energy flow within your bedroom.
Speaking of upgrades, your bedding may need one, too. It’s time to get some softer, better quality sheets if you’re struggling with waking up in the morning. Bed linens can have a negative effect on sleep quality if they’re too rough, too light, or too heavy (making it too hot to sleep comfortably). Whether you follow feng shui or not, bedding can make or break your sleeping success, so don’t skimp on this area.
Try Essential Oils
Feng shui experts say essential oils can shift the energy in your home. Soothing scents have been shown to relax you and help you sleep deeper, allowing you to wake up feeling good the next day.
